During the festival we have included all types of Art so that the month of October is packed with a variety of cultural and creative opportunities right on your doorstep. So many people are getting involved in delivering these activities that it is only right that others have the opportunity to turn up to admire their effort and cheer them on. Particularly when so many of these activities are free. So we urge you to go to things that you might not normally try. You never know, you might be inspired!
Here are some ideas for free, family-friendly fun:
5th October - Start off round town and take a peek at how the Urban Sketchers are getting on, you’re welcome to join in too. Be sure to visit the market, then drop into the Guild Hall for some music, song and dance. Treat yourself to a cup of tea and a piece of cake as you listen to the free performances.
12th October - Immerse yourself in the atmosphere in Pugin’s Gem by taking part in the mindful art activity while listening to the local singers and musicians perform folk and sea shanties.
19th October - is going to be another big day around town with the Guild Hall and the Market buzzing with creativity, and a sprinkling of stardust from the street performers on top of that. Be inspired by the art displays, encourage the buskers and Morris dancers. Cheadle is the place to be today!
Have a laugh, have a cheap night out with your friends at these events:
4th October - Grab a drink at the bar and get set for three fast-paced comic plays, plus,
a short film directed by local actor & director Thom Petty, who will be there too.
18th October - The Murder Mystery evening was a riot last year, and is definitely a cheap night out with
your pie & peas included in your £10 ticket and the bar open for drinks.
23rd October - Get a gang together for Mamma Mia film night – it’s a great feel-good movie to watch with friends, on the big screen, for free. Bet you can’t resist singing along!
