Cheadle Lions have been serving the local community for over 35 years, providing help and funds where needed. They regularly meet at The Manor Hotel in Cheadle, at 7.30pm, on the first Wednesday of each month, to plan activities and welfare spending. Everyone is welcome to come along as a guest to see what they do and how they do it, supporting those in need in the local area and the wider community.

This year, they have run giant Chocolate Easter Bunny raffles in 10 different establishments across the district, and more recently, Duck Races at the Tean Picnic-in-the-Park event. Both successful events raised funds to support local worthy causes such as Moorlands Home Link, the Cheadle Food Bank, along with other requests.

As a new Lion member I can report that we will be running a fun stall at Cheadle Carnival on July 6th and on August 4th at Cheadle’s Party-in-the-Park. So come and say hello and have a ride or two on our miniature steam train!
