Damage to Leek Memorial - Police Investigating

We’re investigating after a Swastika was scratched into a wall at the Nicholson Memorial on Fountain Street, Leek.

Officers visited yesterday morning (Monday 31 March) and spoke to people at the scene.

The symbol had already been cleaned up and removed.

We’re carrying out enquiries to find out more and are keen to speak to anyone with any information that can help us, or those with CCTV footage from the area over the weekend.

It is not clear at this stage when the damage was caused to the site.

Get in touch by calling 101 or using Live Chat on our website, quoting incident 267 of 31 March.
