Everything You Need to Know About the COGNEWS Communication Stations - New Dates Revealed!

Last week, COGNEWS held our first NEWS Surgery at Leek Building Society on Cheadle High Street. This provided a private setting for residents, community group leaders, or business owners to discuss the benefits of receiving or sharing information. Participants had direct access to our expert news team, capable of directing them to over 150 local and national organisations on a wide range of topics.

This can save significant time, and where problems seem unsolvable, it can lead to solutions or at least create momentum. All conversations are confidential and will only be shared with explicit consent, handled sensitively and intelligently where appropriate.

The first session aimed to raise awareness about our work, provide answers to any questions, and showcase our digital and print news. We interacted with several people, distributed some COGNEWS copies, and conducted a successful surgery session with local business owner and Town Councillor Michelle Wells. Additionally, we addressed a complex article that will soon appear in the news. We believe it was successful, as this was agreed by Leek Building Society. We are planning two more sessions. If they are successful, we'll consider making this a monthly event. Sessions are open to businesses, community group leaders, residents and visitors.
