Local Couple Celebrate 60 years of Marriage

Cheadle residents George and Sheila Barker are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this week, having received a congratulatory card from King Charles and Queen Camila.

The couple, who married on March 20, 1965, will be joined by their son, daughter, their partners, and grandchildren for the occasion. George shared with COGNews that his secret to a long and happy marriage is to "keep taking the tablets."
